Free Medical Camp & Community Sanitation Initiative – Ngaamba, Makueni County

Flames of Hope successfully conducted a Free Medical Camp at St. Stephen Itumbule Comprehensive School, Ngaamba, Makueni County on 2nd December 2025, bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community.

The medical camp provided a wide range of services including general consultations, vital signs checkups, dental services, breast cancer screening and other Non Communicable diseases, physiotherapy, HIV testing, ultrasound services, and SHA registration. The initiative aimed to promote early detection, preventive healthcare, and improved access to medical services for underserved populations.  The one day event was attended by over 400 people.

In addition to healthcare services, the event also marked a significant community milestone with the official opening of a newly constructed girls toilet, implemented in partnership with Visions of Hope Outreach International. This sanitation project contributes to improved hygiene, dignity, and a safer learning environment for students.

Recognizing the importance of menstrual health, Visions of Hope Outreach International also provided sanitary pads to women and girls, supporting menstrual hygiene management and helping reduce stigma and school absenteeism among young girls.

This impactful outreach was made possible through strong collaboration with our partners, including Veteran Mission Hospitals (Syokimau), Visions of Hope Outreach International, Cup of Salvation Deliverance Church (CSDC), and Irise Foundation.

Flames of Hope remains committed to improving community health, dignity, and hope through sustainable, people-centered initiatives.
